Introduction

Talking about death is not an easy topic. It’s not something that fits neatly into bullet points or simple actionable processes. It is an intrinsically personal experience, and it will invariably be a difficult process for everyone, and even more so when it involves dementia.

The stories we have gathered on this website (and associated DVD) act as an ‘emotional resource’ for staff, aiming to help them enhance their skills and confidence in supporting people with dementia and/or their families to discuss end of life care.

Due to the nature of the topic, some people don’t feel comfortable watching this all in one go, so we’ve broken it up into smaller chunks. Feel free to return to this site and watch another chapter whenever you are ready to explore the topic again.
